Meet Kos, your last finance hire.

Built for capex-heavy finance teams, Kos works from kos@yourdomain.com like any other team member: it reviews bills, runs procure-to-pay and learns your workflows.

The Problem

The build scales. The back office does not.

Every bill is checked by hand against what was agreed: the contract, the PO, the receipt. Each new site adds the same work again.

  • Nobody can read it all in time

A 600-page pay app takes six hours before the back-and-forth starts. Review becomes spot checks, then rubber stamps.

  • Your three-way match breaks on real life

A partial receipt, or a $300 shipping charge split ten ways, makes a clean PO look $3,000 overbilled. Every exception lands on a person.

  • You can’t hire your way out

Experienced finance people are scarce, so every hire is slow and costly, and the next site still needs another desk.

What finance teams tell us.

  • Nobody in their right mind has the time to review it. So they’re getting scammed and things are getting missed.

  • I’ve gone from being able to handle my job to sort of rubber stamping, because there’s just no way in hell I can actually do it accurately.

  • It’s too hard to throw bodies at. And you have the attrition and people moving into different roles. And something’s almost getting dropped.

The Solution

One hire. Three jobs off your plate.

Billing review

Checks every bill against the contract, change orders, retainage, lien waivers and backup, with the page and clause on every flag.

Learn more: Billing review

Kos reads all 812 pages of Ridge Electric’s pay app #14, ties out the distribution and generator lines, and flags switchgear billed ahead of the work, Hollis Supply’s missing lien waiver and retainage held at 2.5% where the contract keeps 5%. It recommends $754,300 of the $1,374,750 requested, drafted in NetSuite for your approval.

Procure-to-pay: Calder Power emails a milestone invoice to the AP inbox. Kos enters it as a bill in your ERP, matches it to PO-4512 and the signed factory test report, codes it, flags $4,860 of freight that isn’t on the PO, and saves the bill at $486,000, pending your approval.

Maya invites Kos to a video call and walks it through a bill on screen share, Kos asks who to tell when a bill doesn’t match the PO, then replays the workflow on a new bill in the ERP sandbox while she watches: it finds the prepayment already went out, tells the requester on Teams, and leaves the bill pending your approval.

Billing Review

Forward the bill. Kos reads every line.

Send Kos a contractor’s bill the way you would a colleague. It checks every line against what was agreed, and every finding cites its page and clause.

  1. Hand Kos the bill

Email Kos a pay app or an invoice like you would a colleague, or ask about one in Slack, over iMessage or on a call.

  2. Kos reads every line

It checks each line against the contract, the schedule of values, change orders, retainage and past bills.

  3. Kos flags what doesn’t tie out

Overbilling, missing backup and calculation errors come back with the lines and clauses behind them. On one developer’s pay apps, Kos found every finding its reviewers made, plus 46% more.

  4. Kos files the work

Commentary by email, a line-by-line review in Excel, and the entry drafted in your ERP for your approval.

Procure-to-Pay

Forward the invoice. Kos works it in your ERP.

Kos enters bills, works three-way-match exceptions and codes against vendor history, in your ERP under its own login. At Saronic that’s 3 minutes a bill. Nothing posts until your team approves it.

  1. The invoice lands in the AP inbox

Calder Power emails INV-7309 to the AP inbox, where Kos has its own address. Or forward it to Kos as you would to a colleague.

  2. Kos matches the PO and receipt

Kos opens PO-4512 and its receipt in your ERP and ties the invoice to milestone M3, backed by the signed factory test report.

  3. Kos codes it and flags the freight

Ashburn Phase 2, cost code 26-1100, GL 1610. The $4,860 freight line isn’t on the PO, so Kos flags it and recommends $486,000.

  4. Drafted for your approval

The bill waits as pending approval with the flag noted. Nothing posts until someone on your team approves it.

Your Workflows

Show it once. It runs that way every time.

Teach Kos your gold-standard controls on one call, with your screen shared, like you would a new hire. Then it enforces them on every site.

  1. Invite Kos to the call

Invite it to a meeting on Zoom, Teams or Meet, like any remote hire.

  2. Walk it through on screenshare

Show it the work, for example uploading invoices to your ERP and handling discrepancies.

  3. Kos asks the right questions

Who to notify when there’s a problem, and how to reach them.

  4. Kos replays it, then runs it

On a brand-new task, screen shared, in your ERP sandbox while you watch. Then it runs the work, and a human approves before anything posts.

Not New Software

Kos exists where your team already works.

Kos has its own email address and its own accounts in the tools you already use, like anyone you hire. Email it, message it in Slack, text it or bring it into a call. Nothing to install.

Invite Kos to a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams call and share your screen. Walk it through a workflow once, and it runs the next one the same way.

Why Kos

Purpose-built for capex-heavy finance teams.

For data center developers and operators, energy developers, and defense and industrial manufacturers.

Kos works in the software you already own.

It gets its own login and license seats in Excel, Word, SharePoint, Google Drive, and NetSuite. No migrations, and no new app for your team to learn.

Kos has its own identity and a full audit log.

Role-based access tied to its identity, every action it takes logged, and you own your data.

  • SOC 2 Type I
  • SOC 2 Type II

Your controls, on every site.

Teach Kos your gold-standard controls once, over screenshare. It asks questions, replays the work on a new task, then runs it the same way on every site.

Instead Of

One employee, not a stack of tools.

What finance teams reach for today, next to a colleague who reads every page.

You Stay in Control

Kos does the reading. You make the call.

  • A human approves before anything posts.
  • Every flag shows its page and clause, so your team can check any finding.
  • Kos flags the dollars. Recovering them is your call.
  • Kos has its own identity, only the access you give it, and a full audit log. Your data stays in your systems.

Questions, answered.

Kos reads every page, not a sample, and shows the page and clause behind every flag.

Nothing posts until someone on your team approves it. When Kos is unsure, it asks instead of guessing.

There’s nothing to implement. Kos gets a login like a new hire, and your team emails it the work.

Kos reads your contracts and POs and works in your formats. Show it your process once on a screenshare, and it runs that way every time.

Your ERP, whether that’s NetSuite or another system, plus the systems around it: Excel, SharePoint, Google Drive and email.

Kos works inside your systems under its own identity, with only the access you grant, and every action is logged.

No. They keep sending bills to the same inbox.

An analyst takes months to find and covers a few sites. Kos covers every site from the day it starts, to the same standard.

Why Now

The buildout won’t wait for your next hire.

America is in an industrial revival, and every dollar of it runs through a finance team.

Hyperscalers will spend $700B+ on capex this year.

Almost five times what they spent in 2023. Every dollar of it arrives as a bill your team has to check before the money goes out.

4.7×

hyperscaler capex, 2026 against 2023

Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet and Meta, finance leases included. 2026 is company guidance as of July 2026.

Factory construction has doubled since 2020.

US manufacturers are building at $171B a year. Every machine they order becomes a deposit, a payment at acceptance and a delivery months later that finance has to reconcile.

US Census Bureau, Aug 2026 (opens in a new tab)

2.3×

factory construction, August 2026 against 2020

US manufacturing construction spending, seasonally adjusted annual rate, each December. August 2026 is preliminary.

The US outspends the next six countries on defense.

That money becomes new plants, new subsidiaries and hundreds of bills a day, often on an ERP that’s less than a year old.

SIPRI, April 2026 (opens in a new tab)

$954B

US defense spending in 2025, about 2.8% of GDP

Military spending in 2025 (SIPRI). 2.8% of GDP is CBO’s 2026 projection, via the Peter G. Peterson Foundation.

There are 10% fewer accountants than in 2019.

Every one of those commitments runs through a finance team that’s smaller than before the buildout began, and throwing more heads at it doesn’t work.
